[IC] [Old Radio/Waiting in Earth Crossover]

**Their travels bring them back to the cliff overlooking the ruined coastal city. Though it was the first visit for one of their party members - Miku, whom they'd met back at Kaito's home city. Since she acted so young and carefree, Kaito had tried to make their trip over as fun and happy as possible. But now that they were here, with the ghost town in sight, Kaito's smile sobered. This wasn't just a long camping trip. They had to get serious.

He shoved his hands in his pocket as he stared down on it. They'd probably want to pick up the supplies they weren't able to take last time. And more importantly, he really hoped that the boats in the harbor were seaworthy. The knowledge that their radio was in English was an excellent lead, but it meant that they had to get off of this island.**

[She grips onto him, clinging. She doesn't know why he's got balance and she doesn't, but at least one of them does! Her poor face would suffer if he didn't.]

[Returns and, yes, Kaito is still around there.]

[Wait.]

[Is that what it looks like? ~~The fish part, not the half-naked 14-year-old.~~]

[Of course he drops the small glass of water he was holding because WHAT THE FFFF]

Ahhh! [She shrieks and clings to Kaito even more, pointing at KAITO with a hand.]

Where's his tail?! What happened?!

**erk, kind of flushing now regarding the NAKEDGIRLCLING. Took him a minute, he's slow. Also, he didn't realize she thought he was a merman**

Uh - What are you talking about?! You're the one with a tail!

What? [Now she's looking at Kaito, then down to his... legs...]

[She shrieks again, and slaps Kaito in the face.]

[Yeah, she didn't think that one through. Her eyes go wide as she slips down and lands on the deck.]

[And someone here is majorly conflicted. Firstly, a little (half-fish) girl landed painfully in front of him. Secondly, his Master just got slapped. Priorities, priorities...]

A-are you - [he hovers between the both of them before just asking it generally; most of the concern's directed to Kaito, anyhow] - all right?

**He rubs his cheek briefly, but it didn't hurt THAT bad. He's more concerned about their... little friend, he's only a little guilty about dropping her though.**

I didn't think she was going to hit me...

**There is now another little mermaid surfacing, wondering wtf is going on.**

Sister! Sister, where could you be!?

[Her elbows hurt, but that doesn't stop her from recognizing her dear sister's voice! She shouts towards the water,]

I'm here! I'm on top of this thing with a bunch of-- of no tails!

What!? What the heck is that?!

**she looks up at the big weird thing, since that seems to be where the voice is coming from. However, if she squints, she can see a bit of the others on board - not her sister over the rail though. After a moment, she gasps. She's only heard about them in stories but

That thing he's wearing...

IT'S A SHIRT**

SISTER GET BACK DOWN HERE! THAT MAN IS A NO-GOOD HUMAN! YOU EVEN KNOW WHAT THEY DO!?

Huh? [She looks back over to Kaito and KAITO, scrutinizing them.]

What, these dorks? No way!

**he just freezes awkwardly while the mermaids yell at each other. oh god why did I do this thing**

Haaah? Why do they wear STUFF on their bodies then? And no legs! It's dangerous, sister! How did you even get up there?

[Yeah, he's just... frozen awkward right with Kaito. Seriously, what do you even do when this happens?]

This guy pulled me up! [It was kind of fun and new, so she's not to upset about that.]

HE WANTS TO EAT YOU.

[She looks over at him in alarm. Sure, he could probably afford to eat a little more, but...!]
