[IC] [Old Radio/Waiting in Earth Crossover]
**With the death of Conchita, the Kaito team have decided to take advantage of her cruise ship as the polar bear-captain continues their journey to England. As Kaito has kept his nose in a book nearly the entire time after KAITO's injury, Miku and Mekaito have become closer friends to each other. Kaito's been working hard to get KAITO's leg functional again - he wishes he could work on the motherboard but he knows he's not skilled enough yet and has to take baby steps. As they draw nearer to the island country, Kaito thinks that he might have finally done it, so he wakes KAITO up for the first time in a while.**

[He thinks he's heard this term used for animals, but he's not sure...?]
What does that mean?

But he'll... stop working until then. It's like shutting down.
Just safer.

... Well, umm... KAITO's backup is on its last legs, isn't it?

If his voice is messing up, then he doesn't have a long time...
[This talk is making her feel really bad. Really bad. She's never seen a Vocaloid break down before, especially not one of her 'siblings'.]

I was afraid of that. It's just like -
[He shakes his head. Now's not the time to talk about that.]
I'll ask him to. I don't think he wanted me to know about the backup, but... I have to keep him safe until I can fix him for good.

If he doesn't listen, tell him. Don't give him a choice, okay? Okay, Master? Go up to him and look at him and tell him, "Go into hibernation mode."
It'll work. We have to listen -- we don't have a choice. [Otherwise, she wouldn't have slept for so long. She would have woken up sooner, so that she could see her old Master.]

But he couldn't let KAITO die either. Selfishly, it would break his heart if that happened. So he hoped that it didn't come to that. That KAITO would just do it if he asked.]
... O-
Okay.

Master... may I go see if the Captain needs any help? [She wanted an escape and an opportunity to clear her thoughts; everything felt like it was happening fast.]
no subject
[He was still in thought. And this was probably something he needed to do alone.]
no subject
[She looked over at Mekaito -- a silent invitation to come along, if he wanted to -- before scurrying off towards where the Captain would be.]

...could he really last a week? That might've been really pushing it.]

KAITO!
[He was nervous, his mind racing with possible ways to word what he was about to ask. How should he do this...]

Kaito? --something happened? [Shoot. He frowned.]

What is- is it?
no subject
[He rubbed his arm nervously, before saying what he meant to say]
It's running out, isn't it?
no subject
Yes, [he admitted, grateful that his voice didn't skip this time.] It is.

He blinked before looking away and holding his arm, mimicking Kaito's earlier gesture.]
...Miku told you about that.
no subject
Won't you?
no subject
---- impossible, isn't it?
no subject
You sound like Len.
