**After the library of doom made Kaito cough his lungs out, our Kaito Team has decided to go back to the city behind the wall. Kaito's illness has gotten much worse due to his weakened immune system and sleeping outside all the time. But now, here they are. He finds himself staring up at the wall with mixed emotions of relief and dread. How in the hell are they going to sneak in?**

[Soon enough, a number of text began to scroll down the screen. The program was installing; its progress noted as it did. Sounds, interface, everything. It didn't take too long, and soon enough he was finished.

He blinked and looked at Kaito.]

It installed. Can you access it?

[KAITO points to the various areas of the screen, describing them and how they work. He mentions the different ways you can create the sounds, using a mouse or by typing. Different pitches and clarity can also be adjusted, along with ways to make the notes longer or shorter.

It's pretty extensive and quite possibly overwhelming. Good luck, Kaito.]

......

I'm not sure either. [He tries to think about it. What did his master write about?] Anything... perhaps. Something from your life?

[Nods and just watches. This was all the master's jobs -- he's kinda interested to see what Kaito will do.]

[Actually, when he first started to automatically sing the notes, KAITO was a little surprised with himself. It had been a while since he was last used like this, and a part of him forgot how it all went. It didn't take too long before he was able to keep up, though. He freely sang whatever sounds Kaito wanted him to, whichever way the man wanted. High pitches, low pitches, short notes, long notes, eighth notes, quarter notes, whole notes, everything. This was his real purpose. This was what he was created for.

He'd missed it.

When they stopped, KAITO watched the human with curiosity. He gave the man a smile.]

It's fine. Whatever you want to do is fine with me.

[Watching with curiosity! He can kinda imagine what the tune is starting to sound like, though.]

[He's also lost track of time, feeling good about just singing wordless tunes. It's also nice to hear the master singing as well... it's like they're both trying to find the same wavelength. Trying to create a song that both of them could sing.]

It sounds good to me, [he says. He's really excited about having lyrics -- he wondered what sort of words would go along with this tune?]

[And, just as he was always meant to, what is put down is also sung. He sings it as best as he's allowed to, given the programming (and Kaito's skills). As he sings, he listens to the lyrics carefully; each master had reasons for composing their songs -- what was Kaito's?

He didn't expect the lyrics to hit him so hard. He continued singing, playing the music back to his master, all the while feeling shaken by how accurate the song was. It made him think back to nights and days when he was singing to himself, pretending someone was still there to listen. Thinking back to when he wished he could also go where the other humans were, that maybe he could sing on the other side as well. Because that was what he was meant to do and without that, what was he? Was he really just a toy, always singing, never stopping? Something to leave behind when bored?

That realization hurt him so much, back then. This song about this never ending solo was doing the same.

When he finished, he was almost too overwhelmed to speak. But he does, in the end. Even if the words don't match what he was feeling (whatever that was) at the moment.]

...was that all right?

[He's actually glad the stomach 'spoke up'. He didn't want to dwell on the past right now.]

We did. You should go eat something. Do you need help?

[Ahahaha... cooking really isn't KAITO's thing. He'll just let the master handle this one.]

That sounds nice. But, please don't get hurt. [Like burns or something. He's still sick, after all.]

That's true. [At least, he hoped so.] You probably know how to take care of yourself very well.
