**After the library of doom made Kaito cough his lungs out, our Kaito Team has decided to go back to the city behind the wall. Kaito's illness has gotten much worse due to his weakened immune system and sleeping outside all the time. But now, here they are. He finds himself staring up at the wall with mixed emotions of relief and dread. How in the hell are they going to sneak in?**

[He tries to comfort her.] He won't hurt anyone. He helped Kaito many times. If it wasn't for him... I'm sure Kaito would've had a hard time.

**The sudden crash of his body had, with the help of the others, allowed Kaito to breathe through the coughs again. He was starting to wake up, and started by opening his eyes. ... To see KAITO, and Naomi**

**another cough. God, couldn't they STOP for a second? He thought he had been getting better.**

**Mekaito wasn't really sure how to react to people freaking out to him, so he had temporarily frozen his movements again and just stared uncertainly at Naomi. But hearing Kaito's voice, he was immediately distracted from that and jumped to his feet to turn around and see**

**he put his hands on the couch next to him** Do you feel better now??

**he absently gave Mekaito a nod, but quickly went back to looking at KAITO and Naomi. She looked frightened - oh god, what was going on - Kaito felt that he'd somehow screwed up really bad.**

[KAITO also took a step towards Kaito, but hesitated when he remembered Naomi hiding behind him. Well, Mekaito was already there for the master, so maybe KAITO could hang back just this once.]

Are you okay? If you still need to rest, then rest.

I ... I don't know why that happened. I think I ran out of air, something.

Sorry, I guess the cat's out of the bag...

[emptyseat]

[Naomi was silent, earlier, watching everyone's interactions carefully. After a while, the scared look leaves her face. She steps out from her hiding place with a calmer expression.]

I'm sorry I got you worked up, earlier. I think that's what did it.

It's - *cough* - it's not your fault. I didn't expect to have to cover for them so soon, and I really hated lying to you, so...

[She smiled and patted KAITO's shoulder.] This guy's been helping me out, though. He's a good man, just like his look-alike.

[Awwwwkward smile. Master, help me, she's so touchy-feely and I just realized that she probably doesn't know I'm not human and I didn't tell her I was a Vocaloid so we're technically still lying and what do I do? ;_;]

**Kaito was picking up on that nervous vibe, but he didn't quite understand what was wrong. Was he shy around girls?**

Yeah, he is. We've been traveling together.

**he was sitting up now, but the cough was still persistent. Not enough to knock him out again, but - it'd make an opening for KAITO to get away from Naomi, if she was making him uncomfortable.**

Hey, KAITO, can you get the cough syrup? It's in the medicine cabinet in the bathroom... should probably take some.

[He's so grateful for the opening. It's been a long time since he's seen a human in the first place, then he met Kaito, and now Kaito's good friend was hanging onto him and stuff. It was just. Kinda overwhelming (and a little embarrassing).]

Okay. I'll be back. [And so he goes.]

Thanks. **Kaito sighs lightly, feeling sheepish about the whole thing**

Naomi, how long was I passed out? Did he go ahead and fill in the blanks for you, or should I?

[emptyseat]

Not too long. That's a good thing, by the way.

We didn't get to talk about much. He did try to tell me about -- [she quickly glances down at Mekaito] -- your little friend.

[She's still a little wary about him, since she's not used to seeing such a... creation. But at least it looked harmless. Sort of.]

I'm Kaito. [He spoke up, since she didn't seem to know what to call him. Introductions were in order. And now that she knew that he could talk and move, no reason to become ignored.]

You can ask me too... but Master knows more.

[She blinked in surprise when it spoke, but then started to giggle. Of course it'd be named Kaito.]

You know what? That's the least confusing thing I've heard so far.

I'm Naomi. I still don't really know what you are, but I'll try not to be afraid.

A look-alike. [That's what she called KAITO, and he and KAITO were the same kind of thing, so maybe this will be understandable!]

[And now she's laughing, lightly. He was doing wonders to calm her nerves.]

You're full of good sense, aren't you? That couldn't have been from Kaito.

[Hahaha, Kaito. She shoots him an incredibly amused look. See? Even the little Kaito knows.]

Well, I guess he really knew his stuff. You must be the brains of the group, aren't you?

Yeah, you're right. I wonder what that says about the group, huh?

[She's just teasing, really. By now she's a little more comfortable around the little look-alike, so she returns her attention to Kaito.]

The other guy said your father gave him to you. That's why you left?

O-oh.... yeah.

Naomi, I think there are people still alive outside of these walls. Another city. Dad gave me little Kaito and a... [he knew it was a radio by now, but she didn't, probably] ...singing metal box, with words in a strange language. It has to be transmitting from somewhere.

A singing metal box? And people?
