**After the library of doom made Kaito cough his lungs out, our Kaito Team has decided to go back to the city behind the wall. Kaito's illness has gotten much worse due to his weakened immune system and sleeping outside all the time. But now, here they are. He finds himself staring up at the wall with mixed emotions of relief and dread. How in the hell are they going to sneak in?**

I.... well I've been around.

[emptyseat]

You've said that already! [She's so close to just throwing her hands up in the air.]

I told you how I felt when I heard you were gone, Kaito. Why are you being so vague? Remember what I said? About us?

[futureforbirds]

You ... **what'd KAITO say she said** ... you were worried about me.

I'm really sorry, I should have told you first so you wouldn't... but, I wasn't able to, and I'm **cough, coughcoughhack**

[emptyseat]

[She sighs, watching him for a moment before rubbing his shoulder.]

I was, yes, but that's not what I meant. We held hands, remember? And I said...

[She trails off.] Maybe it's because you're sick. I can go get a doctor for you.

[futureforbirds]

N-no, you can't! **cough,coughcoughcough**

Don't, please don't.

... I ... I went outside of the walls. They can't know I'm here.

[emptyseat]

That's what I don't understand! [Now she stands up.] How?

And you're really sick, Kaito. I can't just watch you like this. They'll understand, I'm sure they will. Just let me take care of it.

[She looks like she's about ready to leave.]

[futureforbirds]

My father showed me the way, all right? That's all you need to - **cough, he's getting up too and following her**

They won't, Naomi, they - **has to stop, okay that coughing fit is seriously sounding bad...**

**...suddenly, he just. Drops.**

[emptyseat]

[She rushes over to him, trying to catch him and only barely able to do so.]

Kaito! [She shrieks.] Kaito!

[deteriorated]

[A hand reaches over to help support Kaito's body. KAITO couldn't stay hidden while the man was unconscious like this. He had to do something, even if it meant disobeying again.]

The couch, [he says to Naomi.] Let's bring him there.

[abovethewall]

**Mekaito had ran after KAITO, but he suddenly realized that he could not pass for human, and disobeying would have worse consequences if done by himself. So he hung in the doorway, pulling it mostly closed again and staring out the crack with worry**

[emptyseat]

[She nearly dropped Kaito when the other man appeared out of no-where. But watching him try to lift Kaito by himself made her feel useless, so she at least helped carry his legs over. She stood back once her part was done, holding her hands close to her chest.]

Who are you?

[deteriorated]

[After making sure Kaito was arranged comfortably on the couch, he brought his attention to her.]

I'm... KAITO. The one you spoke to.

[Maybe she'd have a hard time believing. He held out his hands, as if he was waiting for her to hold them.]

You said I -- he -- could trust you, because you're friends.

[emptyseat]

Kaito... [She watched his hands, still wary about reaching out for them. She looked back up at him to get a good look. The clothes, the expression on his face, and the piece of conversation even the real Kaito couldn't tell her...]

You're really the Kaito I met earlier, aren't you? The one who called me by a different name.

[deteriorated]

[He nodded and dropped his hands.] It was 'Luka'. You looked like someone I used to know.

I'm sorry if I scared you.

[emptyseat]

No, it's fine, but... [Naomi looked to where Kaito was now resting.]

[deteriorated]

[He frowned in concern.]

He got sick while he was in an old building. I thought it was the dust, but he got worse even when we left. That's why we came back.

[emptyseat]

From outside... right?

I still don't know how, but I guess it's not that important right now. He needs to get better.

[She pauses to think.] But he was really afraid of talking to a doctor. I guess I get it, but still... he needs medicine.

[deteriorated]

I think he had some, somewhere. I thought he was getting better...

[emptyseat]

Maybe he needs something different. I can go get something for him -- no-one needs to know he's here.

...his condition probably got worse because of me, though. I shouldn't have pushed him like that.

[deteriorated]

[It's kinda true. He's not really going to disagree with that.]

[emptyseat]

[She sighed and brushed Kaito's bangs clear from his eyes. He looked really tired like this.]

I really was worried, [she says absently.] We're close friends, so when I heard he disappeared I was scared for him. Whenever someone disappears, they're not going to be alive when we see them again.

I thought he got into trouble and died. But it's so unlike him. He never was a troublemaker. He was just a regular guy.

[She looked up at KAITO.] I'm glad he's alive, though. When I saw you, I was really happy.

[deteriorated]

[He didn't understand why she was saying all of this.]

I'm sorry I tricked you.

[emptyseat]

It's fine. [She stood up and smiled at him.] You were happy when you saw me, too, right? But I was the wrong person.

So we're even.

[She took his arm, guiding him towards the table with seats.] Let's go talk. Maybe we can help each other out.

[deteriorated]

[That was interesting logic. Human logic, really. He couldn't help but smile back and let her guide him.]
